A Lively Party in Dedham

Hi all!

This weekend, the Holt crew went on a fun adventure to Dedham, Massachusetts to film and photograph a birthday party! The drive was almost an hour long (did someone say ROADTRIP?), and we blasted some great tunes from Frozen, 2010 Miley, Kelly Clarkson, and more.
When we arrived at the party site, we were amazed at the venue. The place was actually a mansion, and it was so huge and fancy! Before the guests arrived, we unpacked our alarmingly large amount of gear and sprawled it across the lobby upstairs, which we had claimed as our territory. Slowly, but surely, our equipment made its way down to the main party rooms. Between the three of us, we carried 5 cameras, 4 tripods, 2 mercury-filled studio lights, and 1 difficult-to-balance handheld stabilizer.
The dinner portion of the event was held in a grand, beautiful dining room, hosting an endless array of glowing food. After shooting an abundance of photos and panning video shots of people eating, we also got to eat lots of food ourselves (in particular, fancy rice and salmon!!) Then, during the latter half of the event, the guests were rocking it on the dance floor; the room was full of energy and excitement!
So, these next few weeks, we will be editing an album of photos and a 30 minute highlight reel of the party! Also, we are excited to share that there is a behind the scenes vlog currently in progress. Keep an eye out for it!
